Day 1. Arrive in Lhasa
Upon arrival at Lhasa Gongga airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to our hotel.  We will take a good rest for the breathtaking tour in Tibet.

Day 2. Lhasa (AB, L)
Today we will visit Jokhang Temple, one of the oldest temples at the heart of Lhasa, Tibet.  Afterwards,  visit Sera Monastery, where we will observe a Tibetan philosophy debate.  Later we will wander on Barkor Street for experiencing the lifestyle of Tibetan people. Tibetan art and traditional work are outlet for sale on this street.

Day 3. Lhasa (AB, L)
Potala, the symbol of Tibetan history and culture , was the winter palace of the Dalai Lama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the King Songtsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. After the Potala tour, we will visit Norbu Linka (summer palace) and  Tibetan Museum.

Days 4. Lhasa-Gyantze (AB, L,D)
Today we will drive about 2 hours to Gyangtze. Take a look at Yamdrok Yumtso Lake  and Kalais Kora Glacier on the way.  The lake lies several hundred meters below the road. We also will see Mt. Nojin Kangtsang.

Days 5. Gyantze-Shigatse (B, L, D)
Drive about 55 miles to Shigatse which is the second largest city in Tibet. It’s also the home town of Panchen Lama. In the afternoon, we will visit Tashilumpo monastery.

Days 6. Shigatse-Tingri (B, L, D)
Today we drive to Tingri and stay here for the night. On the way, we will visit Sakya monastery. There are a lot of historical articles, imperial certificates, gold signets, crowns, costumes bestowed in the monetary. It has over 10,000 volumes of Tibetan books on astronomy, medicine, calligraphy, and history.

Day 7. Tingri-Rongpu-Mt. Everest (B, D, L)
It takes about 4 hours to the Everest Base Camp. We will experience a breathtaking view of the highest Mt. Everest. After witness the highest mountain on earth,  we will drive back to Lhatse for the night.

Day 8. Lhatse-Lhasa (B, L)
After breakfast, we will drive back to Lhasa. Stay one more night in the holy city of Lhasa.

Day 9. Lhasa-Xining (AB)
Take a morning train towards Eastern Tibet through the spectacular natural highland of Tibet plateau.

Day 10. Xining (L, D)
Arrive in Xining in the morning. Meet our representative at Xining train station. Check into our hotel. After lunch, we will visit Tibet Medicine Museum and witness the world longest Thangka (Tibet painting art) which obtained Geneses World Record.

Day 11. Depart Xining (AB)
Free morning to explore the city of Xining. We will be transferred to Xining airport for our next destination.

The Gyantse Hotel  3 star
The Gyantse Hotel  is located in a courtyard in the city center. The modest sized twin room was quiet with a nice view towards the tranquil back yard and the fortress overlooking the city. The rooms are well cleaned. There is a portable heater to warm up the chilly night. The bathroom is clean and convenient with a bath tub annex shower. However it takes long time to get hot water out of the tab. The breakfast is a large buffet with Chinese dishes and a fair selection of continental food. The eggs and pancakes are excellent.
 
Shigatse Hotel 3 star
This is a four-storey building of Chinese style hotel. There are 123 rooms including luxurious flat lets, standard rooms, Tibetan-style standard rooms and single rooms with hot water supply. There are 4 restaurants and banquet halls, offering Chinese and Tibetan foods, buffet,  and western cuisine.
