This is the shortest Bhutan tour that covers Thimphu and Paro, the two major cities of Bhuan. You may fly into Paro airport from Kathmandu, Bangkok, or New Delhi, and vice versa.
Day 1. Arrival in Paro/Thimphu (L,D)
Today you will fly into Paro Airport, Buhtan. After immigration formalities and baggage collection, you will be met by our representative. Together we drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. 2 hours by car. Check into the hotel in Thimphu. Later in the afternoon, visit the Trashi choe dzong, opens at 5 PM. This is the center of government and religion of Bhutan.
We will do some exploratory walk around Thimphu main street and market area in the evening.
Day 2 Thimphu (B,L,D)
After breakfast, visit Buddha point(Kuensel phodrang) located in the city center. Visitors can get a good overview of the Thimphu valley here. You can walk around and offer prayers to the Buddha. Drive to the Changangkha monastery, the very old and sacred monastery built in the 12th century.
Afterwards, drive to the Takin zoo, where we can see the National animal of Bhutan. Further drive to Sangay Gang, the view point of Thimphu city. Continue to visit the institute for Zorig Chusum, the thirteen different arts and crafts of Bhutan. We will also visit Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, King’s Memorial Chorten, and finally visit Semtokha Dzong (fortress).
In the evening, if we have time, we will visit the National stadium of Bhutan.
Day 3. Thimpu-Paro (B,L,D)
After breakfast,drive back to Paro. Visit Wangchu and Paro Chhu river valleys, stop at Tacho Gang monastery, where we can see the 12th century Iron chain suspension bridge below the monastery built by Tibetan Buddhist scholar Thangtong Gyelpo.
After Arriving in Paro, proceed to visit the Ta dzong, the National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique Thangka paintings, textiles, weapons and armor, house hold objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
Afterwards, drive down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner court yard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, and other cosmic mandala.
After that we will walk down to the bridge and see the cantilever wooden bridge still in use. Then drive towards North of Paro, along the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo in 8th century. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism to Bhutan.
Further drive a few minutes to Drukgyel Dzong built in 16th century, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. The snowy dome of scared Jomolhari can be seen on the way.
Day 04 Paro departure (B,L,D)
After the early breakfast, transfer you to Paro Airport to your onward destination.

In Paro: Tenzinling, Tashiling, Gangtey Palace or Olathang.
In Thimphu: Kisa Hotel, Namgay Heritage, Wangchuk Resort, Jumolhari, River View.

Varieties of hotel choices are available in Thimphu and Paro but fewer choices for Punakha – Wangdue and Gangtey.
If you wish to stay at luxury type; our recommendations are Uma Resort or Zhiwaling in Paro and in Taj Tashi in Thimphu. In Punakha and Gangtey, the only luxury choice is in Aman Resorts. Alternatively, you can stay in luxury resorts in Paro and Thimphu and while at other places, stay in regular tourist hotels.
Staying in luxury hotels, the prices will be adjusted.
