How to book a Tibet tour?

There are six deliberately hand-picked Tibet tour packages. Please read each tour summary, itinerary, activities, hotels, meals, and prices. After selecting your desired tour package, book the tour accordingly. There are two ways to book a tour, book through the booking form next to the tour package or book through email. 

How do I get confirmation of the booking?

  1. You will receive a confirmation email instantly if you book through our booking form. The tour into Tibet Team will also send you a welcome email with other post-booking information. 
  2. If you email us, we will reply within 24 hours and help you complete the booking. 

How to apply for a China visa?

Whether you travel to Tibet or China, you must have a China visa first. You will follow the instructions according to the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in the United States. We also will instruct you to apply for a China visa.

Chinese Embassy in the US made the following announcement on March 13, 2023.

“In order to facilitate the people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, the following new adjustments to Chinese visa and entry policies have been made, as effective from 0:00 on March 15, 2023:

I. Foreigners with valid visas issued before March 28, 2020 will be allowed to enter China.

II. All categories of Chinese visas can be applied for.

III. Port visas are no longer suspended.

IV. The following visa-free policies will be resumed: Hainan 59 country visa-free entry policy, 15-Day visa-free travel for cruise groups at Shanghai ports, visa-free entry to Guangdong Province for foreigners’ group from Hong Kong and Macao SARs, visa-free entry to Guilin of Guangxi Autonomous Region for tourist groups from ASEAN countries.”

How to apply for a Tibet visa?

Once you have obtained your China visa, you need to send us your US passport copy and Chinese visa copy.  We will apply Tibet visa for you. A Tibet travel visa is a piece of paper with the stamps of the Tibet Travel Bureau and Security Department. You will receive your Tibet visa before the date you board your flight to Tibet. Usually, our representative will send the visa to your hotel, or in some cases; we will come to the airport to hand Tibet visa to you in person. 

How to make a payment?

We use PayPal to complete all transactions. A deposit of 30% of the total tour costs will be collected when you book a tour package. The rest of the payment will be due two months before the tour. If in case any refund is issued, the refund goes back to the card used for the payment. 

Do I need travel insurance for traveling to Tibet?

We highly recommend our passengers to purchase travel insurance before embarking on their journey to Tibet. The region’s unpredictable geological conditions and political situations can cause unexpected changes to their travel plans. With travel insurance, they can have peace of mind knowing that they are covered in case of unforeseen events such as flight cancellations or medical emergencies. They can purchase travel insurance from any insurance company that provides such services, and we, Tour into Tibet, will provide the itinerary and any necessary documents and papers to assist our passengers in buying the proper travel insurance.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, we do.

Tour Into Tibet offers group discounts for passengers who book our tours together. If you have a group of 4 or more passengers but less than 6, you will receive a 10% discount per person. If your group has 6 or more passengers, you will receive a 15% discount per person. Once your group reaches 8 passengers, it will be considered a private group, and no other passengers will join the tour. This is a great option for families and friends who prefer to travel together exclusively. The group rates are already set up in our tour payment program, and the discounts will be automatically displayed when passengers input their information in the booking form.
