This 4-day tour in Lhasa, Tibet offers an opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of the region. The itinerary includes visits to famous landmarks such as the Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and the iconic Potala Palace. In addition, tourists can wander around Barkhor Street, where they can experience the traditional lifestyle of Tibetans and buy Tibetan art and crafts. The tour includes breakfast and lunch, with comfortable accommodations and transfers provided.
Upon arrival at Lhasa Gongga airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to our hotel. Take the day to rest and acclimate to the high altitude. (D)
We will begin our exploration of Lhasa with a visit to the historic Jokhang Temple, one of the oldest and most sacred sites in Tibetan Buddhism. Afterward, we will observe a lively philosophical debate among the monks at the nearby Sera Monastery. We will then explore the bustling Barkhor Street, where Tibetan art and traditional crafts are available. (AB, L, D)
Today, we will visit the iconic Potala Palace, the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama and a symbol of Tibetan history and culture. We will also visit Norbu Linka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, and the Tibetan Museum. (AB, L)
